Mortgage Elimination Scheme
The Wisconsin Better Business Bureau (BBB) is warning businesses and consumers of a mortgage elimination scheme that uses quit claim deeds, powers of attorney, "discharge of mortgage" documents and refinancing. This scheme, or one like it, has been reported in Oregon. More information can be obtained by visiting the Wisconsin BBB website by clicking on the "Mortgage Elimination Scheme title.

REALTOR® - Individuals who are members of the National Association of REALTORS® are licensed to use the "REALTOR®" mark and pledge to abide by a strict code of professional conduct. This conduct is outlined in the National Association of REALTORS®' Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice.

A real estate agent who is not a member of the National Association of REALTORS® may not use the term REALTOR®.
