RESPA Compliance

Oregon Association of REALTORS® provides risk management education, business tools and services to reduce risk, increase profitability and keep members abreast of current issues affecting the real estate industry.  The Association also works on the members' behalf with ethics education and Code enforcement to maintain and enhance REALTOR® professionalism.

Risk management courses are provided through classroom delivery, via teleconference and self study on a variety of subjects.

Tools and services available to REALTOR® members include the Oregon Property Buyer Advisory, the Legal Hotline, and the Legal Action Fund.

The Oregon Property Buyer Advisory the REALTOR® and buyer responsibilities during a sales transaction, helping members to reduce their legal exposure.  Support documents, such as a powerpoint presentation and an engagement letter can be viewed by logging into the members only site. The Legal Hotline offers subscribers direct access to an attorney who can provide information on real estate issues including disclosure, license law, contracts, and offers.

The Legal Action Fund helps members and member boards/associations defray legal costs in cases of interest to the Oregon real estate community.
