John has full responsibility for planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating the staff, programs, and activities of the Oregon Association of REALTORS® to ensure its objectives are accomplished, its plans implemented, and that the needs of local Member Boards/Associations are met. He reports and shares information with the Executive Committee and Board of Directors to ensure they are kept fully informed on the condition of the organization and important factors influencing it. He also ensures the sound management and financial practices of the Association.
Jenny is responsible for assisting the Chief Executive Officer in all aspects of planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating the staff programs and activities of the Association. Additionally, she is responsible for assisting with the Association's Legal Hotline and providing programs and services which help members reduce and manage their risks of doing business. She is an instructor on many topics and travels throughout the state teaching risk management courses. She is responsible for RPAC fundraising, procuring sponsorships and affinity programs, and is staff liaison to the HOME Foundation, Business Issues Key Committee, Global Business Council, and Professional Standards and Legal Action Committees.
Shawn is responsible for lobbying the State Legislature on behalf of REALTOR® interests and initiating and coordinating the Association’s political communication and grassroots advocacy strategy at the local, state, and federal levels. He also serves as staff liaison to the REALTOR® Party Committee, RPAC Trustees, and Government Affairs and Political Affairs Key Committees.
Jan oversees all finance activities for each of the Association's entities in order to provide meaningful financial information to assist staff and volunteer leadership in making educated economic decisions about the Association's current and future operations. She also serves as staff liaison to the Financial Review Committee and as HR Specialist for the organization.
Jihun is responsible for coordination and maintenance of the Association's political advocacy programs. Supporting the Government Affairs Director and working in conjunction with the appropriate committees, he assists in the development of and performance of our grassroots outreach and coordination of and attendance at local and state events, town hall meetings, and other advocacy opportunities. He also offers support for the advocacy efforts of local associations in the state.
Jen is responsible for implementing the Communications and Professional Development plans. She leads the day-to-day management of our education department and serves as the staff liaison to the Professional Development Key Committee. She also helps to execute the communications plan by disseminating email messages, social media posts, and website updates and serves as staff photographer and videographer.
Jake is responsible for staff support of both the Communications and Professional Development functions. He helps to execute the communications plan by providing email and web analytics, assisting with message dissemination, and keeping the website updated. He is also the registrar for all Association education programs and assists with coordination of all elements of planning and hosting these events from start to finish.
Michael assists the Vice President of Legal Affairs & Business Development with all matters relating to the Business Issues Key Committee, Professional Standards, and Legal Action Committees, and the HOME Foundation. He also serves as Professional Standards Administrator for four local associations and the State Professional Standards Committee along with RPAC record keeping and award planning. For business development, he assists with sponsor management, grant writing, and event coordination as it relates to fundraising.
JC provides administrative support to the Chief Executive Officer, Executive Committee, and Board of Directors. She is also the staff liaison to the Elections and REALTOR® of the Year Committees. Additionally, she assists local associations with organizational standards and supports OAR leadership with activities at the national level.
Katie’s is usually the first voice you hear and first face you see at the Association in her role at the front desk. Her primary role is to serve as the communication hub and member liaison to help answer questions and direct inquiries quickly and efficiently. In this capacity, she is also a member of the administrative team that keeps the Association office running on a daily basis and undertakes special projects as needed.
Gretchen is responsible for coordination, maintenance, and processing of the Association’s computerized member records database and subsequent reporting. In that way, she interfaces specifically with local associations for whom OAR is the point of entry for member information. She also provides support services to the Finance Director with bookkeeping and accounting activities in daily, monthly, and annual cycles
As a consultant to the Association via Deckert Jillions LLP, Shaun is responsible for lobbying the State Legislature and Executive Branch agencies on behalf of REALTOR® interests, developing legislative and regulatory strategy, and providing legal analysis of legislative and regulatory proposals. In addition, Shaun advises on the grassroots and political affairs of the Oregon REALTORS® as well as RPAC activities.
