Are you ready to become a GRI Graduate? This online registration is step 3, part 1 of the GRI Graduation Process. Once you have registered online for graduation, nothing will is completed or will be processed until you submit the completed GRI Graduation Application. On the application, you only need to note date and location for GRI Core Courses. However, you must submit copies of competition forms for any equivalency credit designations or certificates. 

Email the OAR Education Department if you have any questions. 


  1. Complete 30 hours of GRI Core Courses (http://oregonrealtors.org/education/courses). 
  2. Complete 30 additional hours of GRI content - more GRI Core Course or Equivalency Credit (http://oregonrealtors.org/education/gri_equivalency). 
  3. Register for GRI Graduation online ($20) & submit your completed GRI Graduation Application with all required documentation to the OAR Education Department.
  4. OAR will verify your application and notify you of your GRI status within 2 weeks. 
    1. OAR will email you GRI graduation confirmation and a social media GRI graduation "frame". You can begin using the GRI designation immediately after. 
    2. OAR will mail you an offical certificate and GRI pin to the address you list on your GRI Graduation Application.

In this presentation, Chris Livingston will discuss the history of lead and lead based paint with a specific look at lead poisoning in children. Then we will look at the new regulations with respect to renovations in homes with lead based paint. We will also look at lead testing and screening as well. This class also covers the reasons for the law and various impacts of the law, on homeowners and sellers as it pertains to wood stoves. Chris will discuss what categories of wood-burning appliances are affected and how to tell if a particular appliance is affected. He will cover the responsibilities of the parties involved when a home with an uncertified wood stove is sold, including documentation and proper disposal procedures.
