The Basics
- REALTOR® associations were created more than a hundred years ago as a way to unify real estate professionals and advocate for the industry on the legislative level; this led to the creation of RPAC in 1969
- Oregon REALTORS® PAC (ORPAC) Trustees decide which candidates to financially support based on the candidate's position on issues impacting the real estate industry

ORPAC-Supported Candidates
(since 2020)
- Stopped the elimination of the mortgage interest deduction for second homes, and stopped the addition of means testing by opposing SB 976
- Established the Oregon Housing Needs Analysis to calculate needed housing allocations and production targets for each city in Oregon with a population of 10,000 or more through HB 2001 and HB 2889
- Successfully defended against attempts to eliminate the Mortgage Interest Deduction (2021 bills - SB 852, HB 2578, HB 2838)
- Guaranteed 100% landlord compensation for lost rent due to nonpayment during the COVID-19 pandemic (2021 bill - SB 278)
- Invested $400 million in houselessness and housing related projects (2022 bills package)
