Oregon REALTORS® offers both primary and secondary membership options, depending on where your primary affiliation is held. Learn more about what it means to be a REALTOR®, member benefits, and where your dues go below.
Membership Overview
Holding a real estate broker’s license does not make someone a REALTOR®. The main thing that distinguishes a REALTOR® from a licensee is the Code of Ethics of the National Association of REALTORS®, which requires members to put their clients’ interests first at all times. Becoming a REALTOR® means you’re committed to continuing education, professionalism, and integrity.
Membership Types
Primary membership
This is your main membership. It reflects your area of business and very likely is where you live and work most. You’ll need to contact your Local Association to start the process.
Secondary membership
An option for those who are already members in another state, who want to practice real estate in Oregon as a secondary location. Contact Oregon REALTORS® Membership Department for assistance: 503-362-3645.
