Distinguished Service Award
The Distinguished Service Award honors members with at least 10 years of exceptional volunteer leadership and service to Oregon REALTORS®. It recognizes long-term impact and complements, but does not replace, the ROTY program. Recipients are honored each Fall.
The Distinguished Service Award is Oregon REALTORS® highest honor, so there are certain criteria to meet.
- A minimum of ten years of outstanding service and contribution to Oregon REALTORS® in areas such as committee leadership, state directorship, and business accomplishments.
- The award may be given to no more than two individuals per year, but need not be given every year.
- This award supplements the REALTOR® of the Year (ROTY) award and does not replace or compete with it.
- ROTY award recipients may only be considered for the DSA five years after receiving the ROTY award.
- The award is bestowed during the Oregon REALTORS® Fall Governance Meeting.
- Nominations for DSA must come from either a Local or the State Association.
The ROTY/DSA Committee selects a recipient from the list of vetted nominations. The potential recipient is reviewed by the Executive Committee and the name is passed to the National Association of REALTORS® for consideration.
Your Association Executive will receive information and a link when nominations open, typically in late summer each year.
Good Neighbor Award
Nominees must be REALTORS® in good standing with national, state, and local associations and be active practitioners. The award emphasizes personal volunteer contributions made within the past 12 months.
Judging focuses primarily on volunteer (unpaid) service, with financial and resource contributions also considered. Award funds are granted to qualifying 501(c)(3) nonprofits benefiting Oregon communities.
An all-member email will go out each summer, seeking nominees.
