Governing Rules & Resources

Oregon REALTORS® has several rules and guidelines for the association. Bylaws are the fundamental rules and guidelines for the internal government of the organization. Board of Directors are bound to follow the bylaws. Policies are more in-depth rules for operating the association. These policies are approved by the BOD.

In addition to the Bylaws and Policies, Oregon REALTORS® has created a Governance Primer. This is an exciting new publication that serves as a guide for Directors and to those who are attending their first Oregon REALTORS® governance meeting.

Harassment & Discrimination Policy Updates

To strengthen transparency and enforce its zero-tolerance policies, Oregon REALTORS® has amended its Bylaws and Policy Manual. Based on EEOC guidance, the Association now has a clear procedure for addressing harassment or discrimination involving employees, members, or vendors at Association events. Policy acknowledgement is required before participating in events or voting on Association matters, and the amendments formalize a consistent complaint and investigation process.
