With a background that bridges both residential and commercial real estate, Tyler King has been helping clients navigate the market since becoming a licensed REALTOR® in 2011. His real estate journey began even earlier, working as a commercial appraiser and consultant in New York City starting in 2005. Tyler brings a thoughtful, analytical approach to real estate that’s rooted in both personal values and professional insight.
For Tyler, real estate has always been personal. Growing up, he watched his schoolteacher parents build long-term security by owning and managing rental properties—an experience that shaped his philosophy. “Real estate gave them a retirement beyond what their jobs could offer,” he says. “Now I help ordinary people build extraordinary wealth the same way.” His business isn’t just about buying and selling homes—it’s about empowering people to create better futures through real estate.
Tyler is currently based at Windermere Realty Trust in Portland and is a member of the Portland Metropolitan Association of REALTORS® (PMAR). His commitment to the REALTOR® community is evident in his service as a PMAR PAC Trustee (including past Chair), current Chair of PMAR’s REALTOR® Advocacy Committee, and Board of Directors member. In 2025, he’s proud to be part of the Oregon REALTORS® Leadership Academy, further deepening his leadership journey.
Dedicated to integrity and professional growth, Tyler often draws on his Rotary background to guide his work, applying the Rotary Four-Way Test as a personal code of ethics. He encourages new agents to stay humble, keep learning, and lead with honesty. “Don’t be afraid to say, ‘I don’t know,’” he says. “Just be sure to find the answer—and never stop growing.”
Outside of real estate, Tyler is a highly engaged community leader. He has served on the Clackamas County Property Value Appeals Board, is president-elect of the Rotary Club of Milwaukie, president of the Clackamas Repertory Theatre board, and serves as political liaison on the Downtown Milwaukie Alliance board. He also volunteers regularly with Meals on Wheels.
When he’s not advocating for housing policy or guiding clients through life-changing transactions, Tyler enjoys cooking, opening a favorite bottle of Oregon Pinot Noir, and keeping up with his five-year-old daughter—often all at once. He’s also training for a marathon this October and dreams of someday owning a vintage Rolex Daytona, a nod to his appreciation for timeless craftsmanship.
Above all, Tyler approaches real estate with purpose and respect. “Buying or selling a home is the biggest financial move most people will make—but it’s more than that,” he reflects. “It’s where they’ll build memories, raise families, and plant roots. That deserves our full attention and care.”
Whether he’s advocating for housing policy, mentoring colleagues, or supporting the arts, Tyler King brings energy, honesty, and deep local knowledge to everything he does. Through his work, he continues to make a lasting impact—on his clients, his community, and the profession he proudly serves.
