Oregon REALTORS® Government Affairs Committee helps form and recommend policies concerning legislative issues affecting the real estate industry and private property rights. Oregon REALTORS® Government Affairs Committee reviews and analyzes legislative proposals for their effect on the real estate industry and communicates with Association leadership and members concerning legislative and regulatory issues. In addition, they develop new and refine existing, programs and activities that bring members into direct contact with the legislative/regulatory process. There are 18 members on the committee and one staff liaison.
Advocacy Minute is a weekly video series with President Drew Coleman that brings members up to date on the latest news coming out of the 2021 Legislative Session.
Oregon REALTORS® is involved in policy and politics to safeguard your business and help protect the American dream of homeownership. Through actively engaging in the legislative process, REALTORS® are able to protect private property rights and maintain housing affordability. The policy positions of the Association are guided by the Approved Legislative Policies 2021-2022 adopted by the Board of Directors.
