Year in Review

The 2020 Year in Review is a look at everything the Oregon REALTORS® did this year, both for our members and the housing industry. We hope it makes you feel good about your contribution, and serves as a reminder that we are here to serve you, our members.

In 2020, the Association’s focus was on supporting our members as much as we could through changing times with resources to help you protect and grow your business. From increasing access to online CE, to securing national grants for wildfire relief, to publishing detailed guides and creating a hotline for the latest COVID guidance, protecting our members and their livelihoods in uncertain times was a central theme for all the endeavors we took on this year.

2018 was an exceptional year for the Oregon Association of REALTORS®. We passed several bills to help our industry; the Principal Broker Advanced Real Estate Practice required course and the First Time Home Buyer Savings Account Program. We had a record year of RPAC Major Investors and we raised over $2 million in grants to fund issues around the state of Oregon.
In addition, we placed a significant focus on professional development by hosting more than 100 classes around the state along with new workshops and designations. We are also excited about the formation of the Diversity Committee and to be bringing back the Leadership Academy in 2019.
We had several amazing events throughout the year; Spring Governance and Fall Convention and of course the fundraisers for the HOME Foundation. OAR is proud to announce we donated nearly $200,000 in grants to local boards to support organizations in the local communities.
Before we forge ahead, we ask you please take a few minutes and review the accomplishments from last year. We know OAR is only as good as our volunteer members... thank you for your support in 2018!
