NAR Director
Members of the NAR Board of Directors have duties and responsibilities for governing the association, and the association counts on directors to participate as we deliberate issues that impact our members’ daily business lives.
What are the governing responsibilities and authority of the NAR Board of Directors?
- Approve Association expenditures
- Set membership dues
- Set public policy positions as they pertain to the real estate industry
- Establish governing policies of the Association
- Approve member programs, products, and services
- Approve amendments to the NAR Bylaws and recommend amendments to the NAR Constitution and Code of Ethics to the NAR Delegate Body
Current elected term: 2026-2028.
HOW TO APPLY
- Applications for the 2026–2028 NAR Director position are now closed.
The next application period will open in summer 2026 with positions available for the following term.
TIMELINE
- Application Deadline: August 7. Both the Google Form and the NAR Director Application must be submitted by this date.
- Review Process: The Oregon REALTORS® Elections Committee will review all applications and certification forms to verify that applicants meet NAR’s required qualifications.
- Notification: Applicants will be notified if their application has been approved to move forward.
- Election: Voting will be conducted by the Board of Directors.
- Candidate Speeches: All approved candidates will present live during the virtual meeting.
- Term of Service: The elected position runs for a two-year term.
