Oregon Association of REALTORS^® maintains a Legal Action Fund to benefit members. OAR participates in litigation affecting REALTORS^® as a class or the real estate industry as a whole. Participation may include legal briefs as Amicus Curiae (friend of the court), intervention or other participation at a trial or administrative proceeding, paying costs of legal defense, and other legal clarification.

All requests are reviewed by the Legal Action committee and use of funds is based on set criteria. Application for the Legal Action fund is made through local boards and associations.

The Legal Action Committee has authorized intervention, in the form of an Amicus Curiae brief, in a number of legal issues.
